I chose this trend because I think that they really can't go out of style. Pants and shorts will always be an essential piece in anyone's wardrobe, the best part is that they're high-waisted and adjustable depending on your waist size. It has developed by adding a bow/belt around the waist with the same material adding a little flare to just any regular pants. I think many people wear this trend because they can be used in casual settings but can also be used in a professional setting. I think that the high waist of the pants may have arose from the 80's and will continue for many generations since low waisted pants are extremely uncomfortable and quite unflattering. It's current competitor would probably have to be "mom jeans" because they are also starting to style them high waisted and very comfortable as well. Despite that I believe that this trend will last a couple seasons.
I chose neon clothing because I really think that the colors are just extremely bright and very "standout-ish." In everyday fashion people are more gravitated towards neutrals and basic clothing while there are others that try and stand out from the rest by wearing these bright colors. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with making a bold statement; in fact I praise those who have the confidence to pull it off, but I don't think that this trend will last for very long. I think many celebrities are wearing this trend and it has been trickling down to everyday street wear. I think that this trend may last until the end of this summer since not many tend to wear bright colors on the gloomier seasons like fall or winter.
Lastly I chose the asymmetrical one shoulder piece as an upcoming trend. I chose this because in recent seasons we have seen off the shoulder pieces come into style and more people are starting to appreciate the a-symmetrical and fun look of just a one-shoulder piece. I have seen this style float around a lot in more formal wear like dresses and jumpsuits but I believe that it can also be dressed down in shirts and other informal attire. Again, I think this is another trickle down effect doing from fashion runway gowns to more casual wear and can be used where many people will start wearing this style. I saw some of this trending in 80's fashion with the one shoulder tops and high ponies, I think since a lot of the 80's fashion is coming back in style that is one other piece that may come back in the upcoming season. It is starting to come up now but hasn’t been seen much in everyday wear since it isn’t the most conventional piece but I think we can expect to see it pop up more in formal wear.
